Flee from those rampaging zombies!
zOMGies is a free online Flash game in which your only mission is to escape the hoards of zombies who are chasing after you at full speed.
Controlling the game using your cursor keys and the mouse, zOMGies involves running, dodging, and shooting all at the same time, as you sprint through each level from left to right. You need to reach a certain marker in each level in order to progress to the next.
Although the gameplay in zOMGies is repetitive, there is enough variety to keep it interesting. You have to watch out for obstacles that are in your way, because these can slow you down. Alternatively, just shoot them and they will explode, killing any zombies in the vicinity. As you progress, you'll power up your weapons, although more powerful and hideously scary zombies will appear.
The graphics in zOMGies aren't exactly ground-breaking, they are good enough to make the game pretty scary. There's lots of comedic blood, gore and head-popping, as well as some terrifying shrieking and groaning sound effects.
zOMGies isn't the most sophisticated game but it makes for a fun distraction and a great stress relief!
